Luka reawakens Sonia because she thinks that only she can defeat Selene and restore the glory and power of the vampires. She was wrong because Sonia wanted to do nothing but die again.
Fortunately, Sonia was still pregnant and she didn’t want to kill their child. Luka lied and said that Selene killed Lucian.
Sonia, hell-bent on revenge for her fallen lover, hunts Selene down and vows to kill her and use Michael’s blood to resurrect Lucian as well.
