After watching the final episode of Grey's Anatomy, it got me thinking, what the hell is gonna happen next?
Reports have been confirmed that T.R. Knight is out, and Heigl is still in, although no one knows exactly what will become of her. Is she a 24-episode coma patient or will she live her life as a paraplegic or a vegetable?
Anyway, this isn't about her. George O'Malley. Sweet, sweet George who couldn't even hurt a fly joined the army, tried to pick up a girl, saved her life and got dragged by a bus a whole block before anyone even noticed. Poor, poor George.
Anyway, if you're an avid fan of Grey's Anatomy, you should have watched the whole season, ergo, you have seen the episodes with the face transplant and voice box replacement surgeries.
Was that a coincidence or were the creators of the show setting up the audience for a good old soap opera cliché, only way cooler because it really is possible and they have all the technical terms and thingamajigs for such operations? Were the episodes concerning these surgeries meant to prepare us all for the biggest transition Grey's Anatomy has ever tackled, apart from Isaiah Washington's controversial departure, that is?
Okay, so let me get to the point. George's face was crushed and unrecognizable, which definitely needs massive plastic surgery if he does survive the annoying cliffhanger that ended a few months back.
Face crushed + face transplant + voice box replacement = NEW CHARACTER
Only not so new, because the writer's will have to implement a different-faced George O'Malley into the scene. If the audience loves him, then that lucky actor will sign on for the whole season. If not, they can just say that his friends can't get over his new face and he'll just say that he'll join the army anyway so he won't have to live like that.
Awesome theory, huh?
